When my daughter was just a few weeks old, I was told she likely had a dairy and soy allergy.
Today I wanted to share some exciting news: I am expanding my brand to provide a new offering that I believe is simply, the BEST, to my clients!
Happy Valentine’s Day!(?) Errr, yea, I’m little late with this one. Let’s consider it Valentine's week then, shall we?
These days, who couldn't? And although creating accountability and support for clients is one of my specialities, today I want to introduce you to another great resource, Ginny Wright.
Is it over yet? Are we safe from all the “New Year, New You” advertisements, emails, gym memberships, and diet programs. Can we finally emerge from the shadows and step out into 2016 as...OUR SAME SELFS?!
I have a desk job. I'm required to sit a lot. I sit typing away at my computer, I sit on calls, I sit in meetings and I sit on public transportation (ha!) Ok, that's a lie. I don't sit commuting.
I came across a brilliant idea when I was doing some research for supporting workplace wellness. I like it and I think you will too, because, let's face it, we're all really into eating bowls of yummy stuff.
Food rules. They’re all around us. All the time. Sometimes they serve us. Sometimes they don’t. And most of the time we don’t even realize we’re under their spell.
When discussing all the concerning ingredients in our food, our makeup and our personal care products, we can quickly become overwhelmed and discouraged. It begins to feel futile to care so we throw our hands up in the air and proclaim, “ I give up! Everything is bad for us, why bother?”
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending The Rock Recovery Blogger Brunch at Lavagna hosted by Angelica Talan of the local, lifestyle blog, ClarendonMoms, and sponsored by Prosperity Eating Disorders and Wellness Center.
How often do you read food labels? And if you are reading labels, how often do you scan beyond the fat and calorie content to look at actual ingredient list?
We’ve all been there before. You leave an expensive salon with a cut and/or color that you are less than thrilled about. You’re upset, you’re disappointed and you vow to never go back there again.
Unfortunately, for most of us, we operate under this notion that if we don’t make it to that cycle class, the yoga studio, crossfit or Zumba, then we didn’t work out and, therefore, we’re lazy, unhealthy and destined to a life of frump and gloom.
Happy, almost, New Year!
Throughout 2014, I’ve been making a conscience effort to: weed out toxic chemicals in my personal care products (verrrrrry difficult to do but more on that in later posts), drink more tea (less coffee), wear bright lipstick often, stay hydrated, and support small businesses that give back.
Over the last year, I’ve had quite a few people ask me, something to the effect of, “Cute name for a business, but what does it mean?”
And even when I don’t get the question directly, I often get some looks that translate into, ‘Huh?’
Always on-the-go? Lacking culinary inspiration? Did you forget to fire up the crock-pot before you rushed out the door this morning?
Starting a blog has been a goal of mine for a verrrrry long time. So, I'm taking my own advice and just starting (damn it)! I want this to be a space to connect with like-minded women. My posts won't always (errr ever?) be pretty, eloquently composed or earth shattering, but I will strive to provide useful, honest information, experiences, and recommendations that will serve you, not overwhelm you. I'm all about "underwhelming" my readers ;)
